General Escrow Instructions

These instructions explain the standard Escrow Lite transaction process. By starting or joining a transaction, each party agrees to provide accurate information, act in good faith, and follow the transaction terms shown in their account.

1. Review the transaction

Before payment, confirm the item or service description, price, currency, inspection period, shipping arrangement, counterparty details, and responsibility for fees. Do not proceed if any detail is incorrect or unclear.

2. Send payment correctly

Use only the cryptocurrency, network, wallet address, and QR code displayed for the transaction. Send the required amount and submit the correct blockchain transaction hash. Payments sent to an incorrect address or through an unsupported network may be delayed or permanently lost.

3. Payment review

A submitted transaction hash does not by itself confirm payment. Escrow Lite may review the hash, amount, asset, network, confirmations, and receiving address. If payment cannot be verified, an administrator may mark the transaction unpaid and request a new hash.

4. Delivery and inspection

The seller should not deliver until payment is shown as secured. After delivery, the buyer must inspect the item or service within the stated inspection period and promptly report any material problem through the available support or dispute process.

5. Release and disputes

Payment should be released only after the buyer accepts the delivery or the transaction requirements are otherwise satisfied. Parties must not submit false payment evidence, misrepresent delivery, pressure another user to approve early, or attempt to bypass the escrow process.

6. Editing or deleting an unpaid transaction

The transaction creator may edit or delete a transaction while payment has not been submitted or placed under review. Once a transaction hash is under review or payment is secured, transaction details are locked to preserve an accurate record.

7. Privacy and support

Transaction and account information is handled according to the Privacy Policy. If a payment, delivery, transaction hash, or counterparty activity appears incorrect or suspicious, email Escrow Lite support at [email protected].
